Everyone please wish me and my family luck.
We’ve been dealing with a psychotic 40 year old man who refuses to leave my grandmother’s home because he feels that he’s entitled to live there. He considers himself her unofficial grandson because she let him live in her home out of the kindness of her heart, rent free for the past 30 years. Now that she’s passed away, he’s disconnected from reality and has been putting up a struggle with my parents to stay in what he believes is “his house”.
Now it’s turned into a legal battle, and my parents have paid thousands of dollars for an attorney to get him out of my grandmother’s house, and out of our lives. They’re going to a hearing today to try to come to a settlement to get him away from us permanently, and for this nightmare to be over. Please hope for us that it works out.
